How to create a WordPress Child Theme

STEP 1: 

To create a child theme, first we have to create a folder in the wp-content/themes folder for our child theme. Then we create a style.css file in our child theme folder as shown below:

STEP 2: 
Once we have done this we should be able to see our theme in the wp-admin as seen below.
Appearance->themes->Wordpresscircle Child  <!–  This is our child theme name–>
STEP 3:
Now we can activate our child theme, then import loads the stylesheet from the parent theme,
 STEP 4:

Next we have add functions.php file ,the   recommended way to load the parent’s style sheet — and the reason why we created functions.php earlier — is to use wp_enqueue_style(). This WordPress function safely adds style sheet files to a WordPress theme.In our case, the corresponding code looks a little something like this:

Successfully created wordpress child theme.
